COLLAR SPECS
Boats 4.3-4.7m can only have the Max Collars, as the Slim Collars aren't long enough, and the smaller reverse chine doesn't provide the performance that the Max Collars do. Bigger is better!

Boats 4.3m - 4.7m have 2 fitting methods to choose from. One is the standard, screwed-on method, that we've done from the start, and the other is the newer Chemi-weld method, which requires no internal access as it's entirely fixed from the outside.
The Standard method is lighter and cheaper, which is perfect for smaller, light-weight boats, as the Chemi-weld method is much heavier and more expensive.

Does your boat have little to no internal access?
The Chemi/mig-weld Collar method is perfect for boats with little to no internal access, such as boats with high, sealed decks, or large inner-wall storage compartments.
The Collars are fitted entirely FROM THE OUTSIDE, with NO SCREWS THROUGH THE HULL, except the bow plates, so no internal access is needed.
This system requires box-sections to be mig-welded to the hull's side at 350mm centres.
Depending on boat weight & speed, additional reinforcement to the hull may be needed, by adding a pair of BC Shields to the kit.

Yes, for standard methods, there may be a few pieces of hardware leftover if your boat length is at the smaller end of the range. But it means you'll have plates & screws spare if you ever need it.
But for CW kits, there's no left over plates as the Collars are custom made specifically for your boat and require exact measurements.
Not for standard method kits. We use your boat's centreline measurement to ensure your kit & Collar length will cover the curve of your boat.
The amount of offcut varies on the boat shape, but you will have some hang out the back of the boat that will need cutting off during installation.
You can send us a photo of your boat if you'd like help choosing the best size & option for your boat.
But for Chemi-weld kits, we do require exact measurements of your boat as each kit is custom made to order.
